Hello!
My name is Michael, and I just began working for Dickson as a Content Strategist! That sentence needs an exclamation point, as my first few weeks with Dickson have been everything you could hope for from an employer: friendly smiles, perfect communication, and A LOT of coffee. . .
“Content what?”
Sorry, Content Strategist. Content Strategy is a developing field, one that finds it roots in Copywriting, Marketing, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and Internet Analytics. For more information on Content Strategy, check out this concise and informative blog post from content strategist extraordinaire Kristina Halvorson.
Why am I telling you all this?
Well, you will be hearing a lot from me in the future. I will be posting on the blog, generating content for the website, and analyzing if that created content is any good (fingers crossed).
My posts will include everything from Dickson’s summer Jarts tournaments to industry overviews, generated to be (hopefully) interesting and insightful. Working with every department, I plan to generate content that you, the customer, finds useful. Although it may be a cliché, the sky’s the limit.
My initial recommendations for reading:
Check out the most recent Dickson catalog. Even sign up to get a hard copy if you so desire.
If you have any other questions for me, about the blog, or if you’re interested in doing a customer feature, send me an email or give me a call (information listed below), I’d love to have a conversation.
Finally, we want to start a dialogue with our customers. So, don’t hesitate to comment on this post, we’ll respond in a timely fashion. You can find Dickson on a variety of social networks, including linkedin, facebook, and twitter. Feel free to like, link, tweet, or message us on any of those profiles with questions, comments, or concerns. Finally, I look forward to writing, and look forward to you reading.
Ciao.
