Previously on our blog, we talked about the the great office conflict: The appropriate office temperature. The latest research finds that there are major health benefits linked to temperature variation…so everyone wins right?

This new study reveals that “exposure to mildly cold or warm environments can increase metabolism and energy expenditure, which may help to tackle obesity. For those with type 2 diabetes, exposure to mild coldness influenced glucose metabolism and increased patient insulin sensitivity by more than 40%.”

As a result, it is recommended that temperatures in the home and office should incorporate varying temperatures in order to support healthy and productive working environments.
