This new study reveals that “exposure to mildly cold or warm environments can increase metabolism and energy expenditure, which may help to tackle obesity. For those with type 2 diabetes, exposure to mild coldness influenced glucose metabolism and increased patient insulin sensitivity by more than 40%.”
As a result, it is recommended that temperatures in the home and office should incorporate varying temperatures in order to support healthy and productive working environments.
